Flagship event of GDG JSS, in this event, the candidates will be given a set of problems and a language name for each problem. They would be required to learn the syntax through internet on the spot and in the given time they have to write the code for solving the problem. The contestant with the highest number of correct solutions wins.
Participants will be given a set of story type paragraph questions having technical as well as non technical solutions. The event motive is to judge how precisely a participant can google the exact problem given in the question.
This event will check the designing accuracy of the participants. In this event, the contestants will be given an image of raw HTML and CSS code and they will be required to draw the most probable design of the page generated by that code. Each contestant will be judged by their design accuracy and number of correct designs.
The participants will get programming questions to solve overnight. They will login at the same time when the event starts and will be allowed to process their brains for a continuous 8 hrs with breaks in between. The twist of the event comes here, each question can have only one successful submission i.e. once a question is successfully compiled and executed by one of the participants it will be closed for all and no further submission will be allowed. All the participants will be then directed to a new question and the pattern follows. The participant with maximum number of submissions will be the winner. This will ensure that everyone maintains their speed and will engage the participants. This will be a brainstorming event and proper breaks will be given in between to ensure no partiality and an enthusiastic participation.
In this event, the contestants will be given a problem statement and they have to write their code in their preferred language. But the constraint is that they will be judged by the file size of code they have written. So the less code you write, the better.
As the name suggest “flash” a famous DC comics hero who has got limitless speed, this event is also based on same concept, solving problems in particular time limit. It is an online event which will be held during college fest. A set of problems based on different concepts and using different technologies will be released online. Participants will solve these problem but the restriction is if a problem is solved by any of the participant then it will be locked and cannot be attempted by anyone. There will be a scoreboard from which participants could see their participant.
Android Codelabs will be an event extending over multiple workshops that would teach the students the basics of Android apps. The students will be working with Android Studio and Github and a Github organization will be made to accomplish the same. There will be a Whatsapp group to resolve the queries of the students. The students who will complete the course and complete the task provided to them successfully, will be given certificates.
